Insurance Questions

Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) are employee benefit programs offered by many employers, typically in conjunction with a health insurance plan. EAPs are intended to help employees deal with personal problems that might adversely impact their work performance, health, and well-being. EAPs generally include assessment, short-term counseling and referral services for employees and their household members.  Call your Human Resources department and find out if you have this benefit.

Do not be mislead by some therapists who try to scare clients about using their insurance benefits. These are usually part of their compensation packages for employment. Insurance companies ask very few questions.  They want the date of service and the general reason of what brings someone to therapy (depression, anxiety, marital problems as some examples) They rarely ask for more and if they do you are involved and hold the privilege with what is disclosed.

We accept almost all major insurancies and EAP benefits. All insurance companies have member sites online.
